I think his biggest problem was having a tin ear for social cues. The common thread that ran through all of the interactions that made me want to take the hose to some people was a complete lack of any sense of personal boundaries.

I had some really odd, cool stuff out there (ex. a military gas mask a straight jacket and a lof of good craft supplies and so on) and people would sometimes mistake my being friendly and talkative for an invitation to ask to go look through my house or come back every weekend to see if I had more stuff to sell.

Friends who work in retail warned me that I would see firsthand how some people think its clever to treat people in degrading ways. Wow. There are some people walking around with seriously wobbly senses of themselves judging from the way they acted.

Still, it provided me with some fun, some mammon and a story to tell. Can't beat that!jas faulknerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13338478113151823116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9811532.post-1165247190550375812006-12-04T09:46:00.000-06:002006-12-04T09:46:00.000-06:00I've had friends here tell stories about earlybird...I've had friends here tell stories about earlybirds who wouldn't take no for an answer (which is part of why I don't ever plan to have a garage sale), but demanding to follow you home? That's ridiculous. It's incredible how rude some people are.ikkinlalahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04832919596884346022noreply@blogger.com
